#110- Tapped Resources

Do you like my nifty fire effects? I swear, if I only get one thing out of this strip, I will make the baddest, most awesome digital fire in the universe by the time I finally put this thing to rest.

It’s heart-shaped to show my love for you.

On a less creepy note, I’ve been using five panels instead of four for the last couple of days. Like? Yes? No? Or have you even noticed!?

If you haven’t voted in the poll yet (though most of you have–some of you repeatedly), do so, as it ends on Wednesday. The contest, on the other hand, runs through Friday! Yes, through Friday–the judging will occur on Saturday, so the cutoff time is Midnight Friday, my time (which would be Pacific, by the way–feel free to exploit that, east coast insomniacs, or foreign early-risers).

And on a final technical note, my lazy ass finally got around to grabbing the Comicpress bug fix for the navigation links below the strip–they work properly now. I still haven’t gotten around to fixing the header bar navigation, of course, but I promise it’s on the list. I promise!

    Dude is so neat that you show your love for us this way.

    Im ashamed to admit that I hadnt noticed the switch to 5 panels instead of 4, in my defense however, I got to say it was due to me really paying attention to the story and dialogues, but I promise to pay more attention from now on. I do like it though, one more treat before the end.

    On a different note, would you mind if I drop you a few lines to your email? I would like your input on some things related to webcomics and stuff.

    Yeah, I noticed the poll finally stopped allowing multiple votes, good deal.

    @Diego–the panel addition was so slight, I didn’t expect anyone to notice. And fire away, that’s what the email addy is for!

    @Marshall–Yeah, I originally had it logging by IP only, but I changed the logging system the other day to require cookies as well. Technically, you could still get around it and vote again, but that seems like an awful lot of effort for something as simple as an opinion poll.

    I’ve enjoyed the extra panel– more jokes and more action figure looove.

    The Mr Fantastic figure really brings home the evident superiority of Kirby’s original character design, with the lighter blue, and the black trim.

    The love is just awesome Pete! But then being a groupie… you know! LOL

    @ritaxis: I’m actually a fan of the royal blue with the white trim–the one used in the wallpaper I made. I used this one because I prefer the head sculpt to the one I used prior, though I’ll agree that the colors on that figure show up better against the background (or lack thereof, I swear that’s on my to-do list as well, everyone). If I had a version of the wallpaper one that wasn’t stretched out, that would be my ideal choice–maybe I’ll track another version of that figure down and reuse the head with a repainted body. I’ve got a few other customs planned at the moment, so we’ll see.

    @Henna: Mwah. :D
