There are so many little nods to the relationship between Green Lantern and Black Hand in this strip that I couldn’t even begin to count them all. Okay, so I could, but I’m not going to. See how many you can find!
Black Hand is really interesting. He started out as a sort of lame villain, but instead of getting dumped to the curb after one appearance, he’s actually gotten slightly cooler as time goes by. In fact, he’s pretty much being set up right now as a pretty kick-ass villain, having just found a Black Lantern Power Battery.

Black lantern battery? Aside from being emo/goth friendly, cheap on ink, and possibly quite cool, what real purpose would there be to using a black color lantern? The greens would still stomp you out power to power.

@Marshall: As part of the current story arc involving the Sinestro Corps, there are now Lantern forces in a variety of shades. It sounds dumb, but it’s making for a pretty cool story, actually.

Yea, as goofy as the multi-color lanterns thing sounds it actually seems like it’s going to be 10 levels of awesome. the black lanterns are the corrupted dead bodies of former heroes (Ted Kord would be weird) and villains plus just evil people. I’m expecting sinestro war times 10. I have this feeling they are gonna give superman-prime a black ring or multiple different colored rings.
