Really, I mean, everyone would have known how Sinestro was going to turn out, if they had just paid attention.

That Sinestro just arrived tonight, and it actually really disappointed me. The figure is way below DC Direct’s usual standards–the head and neck are two entirely different shades of purple, there’s some pretty bad paint scrape on the right shoulder, and–perhaps the most surprising–taffy wrist on the left hand. It doesn’t show in the picture, but it ripped almost clean off when I tried to turn it. I’ve run into that a time or two with Toybiz figures, but I’ve never even heard of it in a DC Direct figure. I may have to track down another one entirely.

In a secondary bout of disappointment, I received a Crisis on Infinite Earths Flash figure in the same wave, and fresh out of the package, his hip joint snapped clean in half.

I just can’t catch a break tonight (or maybe it’s all I can catch).
