As you can see in the second panel, The Darkness incarnation here is very different from his recent public portrayals.

Also pictured there in the last two panels is Marv, from Sin City. Granted, he’s fairly well known, but more for the movie than the original comic, still, and some people may not immediately recognize the figure. An interesting note: he’s the first black and white figure I’ve gotten.
