#224- Blast From the…Past?
No real joke here–just me playing with Photoshop Paint.NET (’cause free is better). The incongruity of an aged photo of a modern subject amuses me, as it does countless others, which is why those “Old West” photo booths are always so successful at fairs around here.
Also, screw Spider-Man and Mary Jane. Kitty Pryde and Colossus are my favorite Marvel couple. This has NOTHING to do with my gigantic secret boyhood crush on the plucky Ms. Pryde. O.o
As an added note, given the amount of time the X-Men have spent mucking in the time stream in the past, this image is totally plausible.

Oh, Kitty and Colossus. How I miss them — or at least the way they were back in the day.
Nice aging technique, by the way. It looks good.

I really enjoyed Whedon’s take on them–bringing Kitty back as an instructor was a master stroke. And I’ve made fun of resurrections here before, but Colossus’ return was one of the best things that could have happened to comics. His thoughtful pacifistic nature stands a chance of doing more for the pro-mutant cause than anything, if only the writers would USE him more.

…
I’m so lost with what you’re saying, but I can’t buy comic books where I am. Oh well.

Colossus’ return from death was the most anti-climatic x-event ever. I still cringe when I see him :s

I don’t care how he came back. I only care that he’s back.
