#7- An Iron Gauntlet Thrown… Part One

I’m disappointed with these…they serve to illustrate to me exactly how much practice I need. My sister was supposed to come over and help me with lighting techniques before I made this one, but she had some other stuff going on, so I decided to just forge ahead. Plus, I had the idea, and I didn’t want to get started on something else and lose sight of it. If I weren’t a lazy bastard, I’d go back and redo these some time, but I highly doubt I will. I’ll just learn from them and move on.

I also had a problem in that I was editing the strips during some down time at work…and apparently my monitor settings are a LOT darker there. The background in the panels looked completely black…until I got home. So, I had to fix all the backgrounds…by painting them completely black, with no texture at all.

So, my next priorities are a) some lighting techniques, and b) some freaking real backdrops!
